Example: HelloFresh

HelloFresh is a meal kit service that gives customers a wide selection of recipes to choose from each week. After making your selections, the company ships the ingredients you need, measured out for each recipe, along with cooking instructions.
The idea is to make dinner easier without having to plan meals, shop for ingredients, or make a trip to the grocery store.
How It Works
1. Select Your Plan: Start by choosing the plan that works for your household. You can select the number of people you’re feeding, how many recipes you’d like each week, and your preferred meal options.
2. Pick Your Recipes: Browse the weekly menu and select your meals. HelloFresh offers more than 100 recipes and includes choices such as Veggie, Fit & Wholesome, and Quick & Easy.
3. Receive Your Delivery: Your selected recipes and their pre-portioned ingredients are packaged and shipped directly to your home in a recyclable box.
What Is HelloFresh Meal Kit Delivery?
HelloFresh takes care of much of the work involved in planning dinner without actually cooking the meal for you. The ingredients arrive portioned for each recipe, along with instructions for preparing them.
Customers can choose meals based on their preferences and select from a variety of weekly recipes. Meal kits are delivered on a scheduled day, and customers can also skip upcoming weeks or cancel their plan when needed.
Are HelloFresh Meals Frozen?
No. HelloFresh meal kits contain fresh, pre-portioned ingredients rather than prepared frozen meals.
How Long Do the Ingredients Last?
Ingredients should be refrigerated after delivery to maintain freshness. HelloFresh recommends cooking and eating most ingredients within seven days of delivery.
Seafood has a shorter recommended window and should be cooked and consumed within two days of delivery. HelloFresh also recommends not refreezing the ingredients.
How Many Servings Are in One Meal?
HelloFresh recipes begin with a two-serving option. However, customers can choose plans designed for different household sizes.
